EVENT: The 14th annual Capital Challenge Horse Show
WHEN: September 29-October 7
WHERE: Prince George’s Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, MD. The PGEC is located 20 miles
Southeast of Washington DC, just seven miles off the Capital Beltway on Route 4.
ATTENDANCE: approximately 20,000 exhibitors and spectators over the nine-day show
PRIZE MONEY: over $300,000
NUMBER OF HORSES IN 2006: 1200
ADMISSION: FREE
PARKING: FREE
SHOPPING: Over 50 shops are located on the grounds on Vendor Row near the outdoor ring, around the
Concourse in the Show Place Arena, and in the Boutique Mall overlooking the Show Place Arena.
HOURS: 8am to approximately 5pm
Evening sessions are held at Wednesday 7:30pm, Thursday 6:30pm, Friday 7:30pm and Saturday 7:30pm
