Wilmington, OH – The official COVID-19 protocols, as well as updated entry rules and live stream information, are now available for the 27th annual Capital Challenge Horse Show, to be held Friday, September 25, through Sunday, October 4, at the World Equestrian Center – Ohio.
For exhibitors finalizing their horse show plans, entries are still being accepted for the hunter divisions, and the following rules, pertaining to the number of horses a rider may enter, have been adjusted as follows:

- Junior Hunter 3'3" competitors may now ride up to four horses (two small and two large).
- The Adult Amateur Hunter division now has no limit to the number of horses a rider may show.
- Performance 3’6” riders may now show up to six horses.

Entries can be completed online here, and the full schedule and prize list are available here. To change entries, please contact Michele Markward at secretary@capitalchallenge.org or (305) 340-7554.

For those preparing for their time at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, OH, the horse show’s complete COVID-19 protocols can be found here.

The Capital Challenge Horse Show management team has been instrumental in helping develop the COVID-19 protocols alongside U.S. Equestrian since March, and the outlined protocols are based on state and county recommendations, as well as the guidelines set forth by US Equestrian and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In addition, Capital Challenge’s own unique operations and facilities played a large part in determining what would create a safe environment. The Capital Challenge team takes seriously the responsibility of creating a safe environment, and they believe these enhanced protocols are best for the general welfare of all exhibitors.

This year's horse show will also utilize Show Management System's new text alert system to receive any important messages including schedule changes or protocol updates.

Exhibitors can sign up to receive the text alerts by visiting the Capital Challenge Horse Show Show Management System landing page during the horse show.

Catch All 10 Days of the Capital Challenge Live Stream

While spectators are not allowed in person at this year’s Capital Challenge Horse Show, viewers can still enjoy all 10 days and all three rings of the action via the Capital Challenge live stream, generously sponsored by MARS EQUESTRIAN.

Beginning Friday, September 25, the full live stream will be available on the USEF Network and at www.CapitalChallenge.org.

US Equestrian members can sign in at www.usef.org/network to access the live stream in its entirety through the conclusion of competition on Sunday, October 4. Non-US Equestrian members can also view the complete live stream by taking advantage of a special, free fan membership offered throughout the Capital Challenge Horse Show.
